Modern wood and hybrid construction is becoming increasingly important—and at the same time, the requirements for preventive joint fire protection are growing. Joints must accommodate movement and, in the event of a fire, reliably prevent the spread of fire, smoke, and heat. Unprotected or inadequately secured joints can quickly become critical weak points in an emergency. To ensure building safety and reliably meet legal fire protection requirements, tested and proven solutions are essential.
With Flaton-flex A 100 and Rexpandit, we offer two high-performance joint fire protection products, specifically designed for wood and hybrid construction, that reliably protect moving joints and can be flexibly integrated into various structures.

Rexpandit
Rexpandit is a fire-resistant joint filler that expands in the event of a fire, reliably sealing construction joints in walls and ceilings. Rexpandit effectively prevents the spread of fire and smoke—even when structural movement occurs.
Thanks to the European Technical Assessment (ETA), Rexpandit is the approved solution for structural fire protection for joints ranging from 10 to 40 mm in wood and hybrid construction.

Flaton-flex A 100
Flaton-flex A 100 is a fire-resistant joint tape that expands into a foam in the event of a fire, designed for the fire-resistant sealing of building joints in walls and ceilings.
In the event of a fire, the resulting foam completely fills the joint and reliably prevents the passage of fire, heat, and smoke for joints up to 10 mm wide in wood and hybrid construction.
